The Aga Sechaba community project led by the chairperson of the project, Mr Aga Sechaba, from Ga-Rankuwa distributed 500 food parcels in the community of Ga-Rankuwa zone 2.

Mr. Sechaba stated that as part of the programs, “we ensure that our beneficiaries do not sleep on an empty stomach.

“People understand that the program is aimed at enhancing the community’s capacity to address the causes and consequences of poverty and social crime, which is what we are doing right now.”

Mrs Maphakula, who benefited from the food parcel, said, “What this program has done for us is more than we deserve. We are now eating free food and there is less crime in the community. As a community, we hope they will continue to be generous and take care of people.”

The community of Ga-Rankuwa was grateful of the gesture and said they hope poverty will no longer win if they remain united as a community and help one another.
